To all of you who do make a difference, Thank you…. As an old African proverb states:
“It takes a village to raise a child.” I am so very thankful for the time and energy given
To help teach, coach, and mentor my child as well and the other hundreds of children
That come your way. Please know you are all appreciated even in a day like this, with the challenges
We face. I cannot be the parent I need to be without all of you. You are all helping me to teach a young
And impressionable mind who will one day go out and be apart of society. After living in Chicago for 10 years it makes
You appreciate where you come from. You never know a child what a childs dealing with or background, but know you can always make a difference no matter how big or small.
It could be the difference between life or death. I am truly thankful to God for all of you.

Aloha Parents,
I am pleased to announce that registration is now open for HFS Flag Football that is apart of the NFL Flag Football program. The league will start on August 9th and run for 8 weeks. I am currently organizing and trying to find quality coaches that will coach the kids. I am looking for individuals that have played at the college level or higher. If you know of anyone please let me know. It is one of my goals to get the best coaches available for our Kieki. We will have 6 teams in the Menehune division(5-6 year old/Coed), 6 teams in the Imua division(7-8 year old/Coed), 6 teams in the Na Koa division(9-11 year old/Coed), and 6 teams in the Ali’i division (12-14 year old Boys). Teams can choose there team names. For example, I will be coaching the Pearl City ”Eagles” in the Menehune division. We will also structure the teams around the area that they play in so that it is easier for everyone to practice once a week. And then the games will be played on Sunday afternoon during our class time. I will giving more information as the season approaches. You go to the following link to register for the league. We will be having our “Keiki Kombine” coming up on June 28th. This will introduce our kids to know what a combine is and how to prepare for it as they get to high school and college. The next few Sundays will be dedicated in preparing the kids for this event. The kids will timed on the 40 yard dash, broad jump, vertical jump, cone drills, etc. I look forward to having a lot of fun and for seeing your keiki’s grow in their development as football players.

Aloha HFS Parents,
I just wanted to let everyone know that I just talked to Coach Rich Miano from the UH football staff and he says that if your keiki comes out to the UH Football Camp this Weekend wearing your HFS T-shirt that it will be a $10 discount for Saturday and Sunday if you decide to go. Your child will also receive a UH Football Camp T-shirt sponsored by “UnderArmour”, and be apart of a great camp. It will go from 9am – 12pm noon and will be a great time for all the kids. HFS will have a booth there and Coach Chad should be there on Saturday too. Anyway, don’t forget to wear your HFS shirts and represent and get your discount.

Dear HFS Parents,
We here at Hawaii Football School understand there are many opportunities out there to help your kids grow and develop into great young men and athletes. There are flag football leagues, football camps, football leagues, speed and quickness training, baseball leagues, basketball leagues, etc. We understand that we are also in a severe recession right now as well as we all try to make ends meet. I was talking to a mom today that asked, “Is it OK to come back if we haven’t been in a couple of months? And do we have to pay registration all over again?” Anyway, the answer to the first questions is “Yes” . You are always welcome to come back to the HFS Ohana!!! And “No” you will not have to pay registration all over again. The registration is a one time up front fee that we charge to take care of admin costs and the T-shirt.
If you decide to try something else out for a while make sure you let us know. We want to support you in what you are doing. One of the boys last week said, “Coach Chris, I want to thank you for all that you have taught me here at HFS. My highschool team wants me to start practicing with them now. HFS has helped me get the skills that I needed because last year I was playing defensive line. This year I am going to be trying out for wide reciever and I think I am going to make it now.” We are always looking at ways to help you and your children accomplisch your dreams. Have a great summer and you are always apart of the HFS Ohana.

Aloha Parents,
We will be having our “Keeping it Green” fundraiser this June and July. If you could save as much plastic bottles and aluminum cans during the month towards recycling because this will go towards your child’s tuition here at Hawaii Football School. The money that is raised in June will go towards July’s tuition, and the money that is raised in July will go towards Augusts tuition. We understand that we are in a recession and that times are hard. We also understand that your child will learn the value of working for their tuition. It is a win win for everyone involved. The earth is preserved, the parents receive financial assistance, and the kids learn how to work for their tuition. If you could also clearly mark each garbage bag clearly your child’s name and class for identification. Please remove the bottle caps from the plastic bottles and you can smash cans down if you would like. The pick up days will be Sunday June 28th and July 26th at class. Mahalo for your support and we look forward to a successful fundraiser.
Aloha,
Coach Chris
